Tuesday 2nd October – ‘Tech Tuesday’ This event explores advances that are being made in technology to help older people live better lives. Representatives from companies making strides in these areas will give talks about their research and showcase their products. These include:
Dave Jennings, Ireland Country Manager, Bonavox “Bonavox are proud to be collaborating with Positive Ageing Week and Age Action. With an ageing population we believe it’s increasingly important to help people to age well and hearing plays an important role in this. So, come along and be part of bonavox where our aim is to help everyone achieve the best hearing possible so we all can enjoy life to the full”.
Richard Parry, Head of Global Accounts, Doro Phone ‘The mobile and technology provider for seniors’ – mobile and smart phones with special features especially deisgned to provide easier communication for older people. Richard will talk about the benefits of the product and their plans for new technology in the year ahead including a new product in conjunction with Vodafone
Feargal Duignan, Pacsana – Pacsana is a wearable sensor for older people which is linked to an app on the smart phone of their family member. The sensor tracks their movements and therefore provides information on their safety to family members.
