Ageing in Place

PAW 2019 runs from Monday September 30th to Sunday October 6th, incorporating the International Day of Older Persons which falls annually on October 1st.

The theme for 2019 is ‘Ageing in Place’. This is ‘the ability to live in one's own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level’. Ageing in Place is not just for ‘older’ people, it’s for all people who want to ensure their quality of life and live it with dignity.

2018 saw over 450 events take place across the country. Age Action is asking individuals and groups to organise and register an activity or event to celebrate the older people in our lives and the contribution they make to our families and our communities.

Positive Ageing Hub

A variety of themed events and talks will be held throughout the week in the Age Action shop on Dublin's Camden Street
